When Bobby Shuttleworth signed with the Revolution in 2009, he served as an insurance policy for Matt Reis, the winningest goalkeeper in club history. Eight years later, Shuttleworth owns 46 career wins and 344 career saves, cementing his place as one of the top netminders to ever wear navy and red.
Ahead of Shuttleworth’s ninth MLS season, the Revolution dealt him to Minnesota United for forward Femi Hollinger-Janzen, whom the club drafted in the third round of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. While Shuttleworth can no longer pad his Revolution statsheet, the memories he created—and the saves he delivered—will live on.
