New England pro teams collided Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium in another example of its close relationships and support for one another.
Past, present and future were all on display as players and staff members from the World Champion Celtics, along with several Bruins players, were in attendance as the Patriots hosted the Seattle Seahawks in the home-opener on a gorgeous day in Foxboro. The upstart Patriots nearly pulled out an impressive victory but lost, 23-20, in overtime to the Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Patriots honored and recognized the 10th anniversary of the franchise’s Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seahawks.
