He’s still rarely had a pass-catching talent like Stefon Diggs, who the Patriots signed last month, to operate with in New England. Yes, McDaniels had two seasons with Randy Moss and led unique talents in Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski to success with Tom Brady.
But from a pure ability standpoint, especially in recent years, Diggs is unlike a weapon McDaniels has had in his system with the Patriots in quite some time, even with Diggs entering his age-32 season.
