Most of Bill Belichick’s introductory press conference as the new head coach at North Carolina revolved around his decision to join the collegiate ranks and his vision for the future of the program.

But the legendary Patriots head coach also took some time to name drop some of his greatest players during his 24-year run in Foxborough.

When asked a question about the challenges of developing college-aged players, Belichick referenced three players who thrived over time in New England.

“If you look at the players we had in NFL, Tom Brady was a fourth-string quarterback his rookie year,” Belichick said.
