The New England Patriots are almost certainly not going to sign the recently released Andy Dalton. They passed on Jameis Winston for pennies and are reportedly uninterested in Cam Newton. Bill Belichick is seemingly content going to war with one of the worst quarterback rooms in the NFL. In fact, he’s probably relishing the opportunity to try and squeeze wins out of fourth-round pick Jarrett Stidham and journeyman Brian Hoyer.
With six Super Bowl victories, Belichick has already established himself as the greatest coach of all-time. Now he’s seemingly out to determine his philosophy, and not Tom Brady, was the overriding reason for the Patriots’ historic success over the last two decades.
