What’s happening in Minnesota

A GREAT SECOND OPINION

If fans in Indianapolis are leery of Josh McDaniels because of his shaky first stint as a head coach in Denver, he has an important ally vouching for him.

Former coach Tony Dungy, who led the Colts to a win in Super Bowl XLI, says he’s confident that McDaniels will succeed in his old job. McDaniels is expected to be named the head coach in Indianapolis after the Super Bowl.

“I know in talking to Josh he’s learned some things that didn’t go well in Denver, that he won’t make those same mistakes,” said Dungy, who’s part of the NBC team that will broadcast Super Bowl LII on Sunday.
