Barring the unexpected, it appears the New England Patriots have added a wide receiver to the roster: Chris Hogan, formerly of the Buffalo Bills.
The Pats have offered Hogan, a restricted free agent, a deal worth $12 million over three years, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. The contract comes with a $5.5 million cap charge in 2016, complicating the situation for Buffalo, which has only $7.15 million in cap space.
Because of the money the Pats shelled out for Hogan, and because of the way they structured the deal, it seems very unlikely that the Bills would match the offer.
