With April here that means draft season is upon us.
Following a slow offseason, where the Patriots signed four external veteran players and traded for two more, there’s an added emphasis on the 2022 NFL Draft in Foxboro. The Patriots knocked it out of the park last season after drafting Mac Jones, Christian Barmore and Rhamondre Stevenson. They’re looking to do the same again this spring.
The Patriots have eight draft picks (first, second, third, fourth, two fifths and two sixths) later this month. It’s never ideal to head into the draft looking to select a player at a certain position (you want to see a team select the best player regardless), but the Patriots have some clear needs at the moment.
