Remember, as recently as May, when we were still basking in the potential of the first Grand Slam in American professional sports? The Red Sox had already secured the World Series the previous October, the Patriots had won the Super Bowl in February, and it was only a matter of waiting to see if the Celtics and Bruins could complete the improbable.
Except, the Celtics were even more dysfunctional than we had originally thought, and the Bruins only came out on top by producing an even bigger gag job than the one they suffered at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013.
