Jonathan Freeny is in a bit of an unfair position with the New England Patriots. Whenever he's been on the field, it's usually because something's gone wrong.
Freeny plays behind two of the best young linebackers in the NFL in Jamie Collins and Dont'a Hightower. Given how often the Patriots play with an extra defensive back instead of a third linebacker, they're usually the only ones ever needed on the field when healthy.
Therein lies the issue with the Patriots linebacking corps. They have two All-Pro candidates up top. But if anything ends up happening to either player, it's a disaster scenario for the defense.
