Here's an update that New England Patriots fans don't want to hear: There's no guarantee that Mac Jones plays against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.
The Patriots quarterback suffered a back injury in his team's 20-7 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and while X-rays came back negative, there's reportedly a chance Jones won't be able to play next Sunday in Pittsburgh.
New England's offense mustered just 271 total yards with Jones under center Sunday. But considering who's behind him on the depth chart, things could get a lot worse if Jones has to miss time.
