The Patriots were able to accomplish two things in Week 14: First, they fought for a much-needed win in Pittsburgh, and second, they kept their hold on the No. 2 spot in the 2024 NFL draft order. For a team sitting at 3-10, that’s called a win-win. It was a terrific morale booster for the players, coaches and any fans who still have a sense of humor. Who doesn’t love beating the Steelers? To make it better, Steeler fans and media were calling for head coach Mike Tomlin’s head on a platter. As Karen Guregian noted, ‘It’s gotten to the point that if they beat teams now, the opposing coach is on the firing line.
