A new era will officially begin at noon ET on Wednesday. Less than a week after the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick announced their mutual parting of the ways, the long-time head coach’s successor will be introduced.
Jerod Mayo will take the stage alongside team owner Robert Kraft, his first task as the Patriots’ 14th non-interim head coach.
The 37-year-old, who will be the NFL’s youngest HC, was announced as the man to follow Belichick last Friday. A long-time disciple of the future Hall of Famer, he spent the last five years working as a linebackers coach and de facto co-defensive coordinator.
