New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones put together one of the most impressive rookie seasons of any player at the position in franchise history, helping the team return to the playoffs after a one-year absence.
In 2021, Jones set a new rookie mark of 22 touchdown passes, breaking Jim Plunkett’s previous team record of 19 during the 1971 season.
Additionally, Jones surpassed Drew Bledsoe’s 1993 passing yards (2,484) and completion (214) numbers with 3,801 yards and 352 completions respectively.
For his efforts, Jones finished second in Offensive Rookie of The Year voting behind Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
