Vederian Lowe becoming a fixture at Patriots’ left tackle position

The New England Patriots entered their 2024 offseason looking at some gaping holes at both offensive tackle positions. They had to invest in both spots, and did: the Patriots signed Chukwuma Okorafor and re-signed Michael Onwenu with the intention of having them as their starters at the left and right tackle spots, respectively.

Five months later, both are playing different roles. Whereas Okorafor is the current top right tackle, but seemingly far from locked into that spot, Onwenu moved inside to his former position at right guard.

The all-important left tackle position, meanwhile, was handed over to Vederian Lowe.
