Underrated cornerback Alex Austin is reportedly signing his exclusive rights tender to return to the New England Patriots for the 2025 season, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
Austin showed flashes of his playmaking ability in 2023, and then he started to come on late for the Patriots last season. Jonathan Jones' future with the team is still up in the air, and Austin has looked like a solid potential depth piece playing opposite of Christian Gonzalez.
He finished last season with nine tackles and five pass deflections in nine total games.
