After leveling the score at 40 apiece in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s Patriots-Chiefs shootout, wide receiver Tyreek Hill encountered the wrath of few New England fans.
On the first play of a drive starting at Kansas City’s 25-yard line, Hill caught a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and ran the ball in for a 75-yard touchdown. Hill kept running after reaching the end zone, and, upon hitting a wall that corraled some of the tens of thousands in attendance, he was met with beer and middle fingers to the face — courtesy of some folks clad in Patriots gear.
