A few hours after being carted to the locker room with an ankle injury, Ty Montgomery flew back to Foxborough with his teammates.
The veteran running back was injured in the first quarter of Friday night’s loss in Las Vegas and struggled to put weight on his ankle as he hobbled off the field. On a Saturday morning conference call, Bill Belichick didn’t have much to offer beyond the plane ride home.
“He did travel back with us. We’ll see how it goes today,” Belichick said. “I’m not sure. There’s no update at this point. I’m saying that he’ll get looked at this morning like we usually do.
