The New England Patriots are preparing for their Week 16 matchup against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, but two of their players were recently hit in their wallets by the NFL.
Patriots running back Antonio Gibson was fined $14,805 for unnecessary roughness for using his helmet while taking on a blocker in the first quarter of their loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Then, later in the game, Patriots defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. was fined $16,833 for unnecessary roughness on a horse-collar tackle where he brought Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray down for a would-be sack.
