Even in a year where multiple rookie quarterbacks will feature in the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is backing New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones to stand out amongst the group with one impressive debut campaign.
Jones already comes into the season with plenty of expectations after he beat out Cam Newton for the Patriots’ starting quarterback job. This came just months after he bolstered his draft stock with key performances in the 2020-2021 College Football Playoff while with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Kelce is expecting to see a strong rookie campaign from Jones, and one that even overshadows Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s debut season.
