The New England Patriots met with Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden at the NFL Scouting Combine, and that meeting consisted of more than just a handshake and a simple exchange of pleasantries.
According to Golden, it was full-go with the Patriots going over route concepts at the wide receiver position.
“They coached me hard,” said Golden, who admitted he liked the coaching that he received from New England.
Could that coaching eventually be on a more permanent basis? It's a fair question to ask with the Patriots desperately needing a spark at wide receiver and Golden being one of the top prospects at that position.
