Tom Brady took more than 60 questions during a Jan. 22 press conference on the “Deflategate” scandal. In several instances, his responses don’t jibe with findings in the Wells Report released yesterday:
Brady, on Jan. 22:
“I would never do anything to break the rules. ... I’m very comfortable saying that nobody did it, as far as I know.”
Wells Report:
Brady was “at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities ... involving the release of air from Patriots game balls.”
Brady, on Jan. 22:
“Like I said, once I’m out on the field, I’m playing.
