Just over a year ago, in Week 9 of the 2014 NFL season, the NFL's best offense rolled into Foxborough.
Peyton Manning and the Broncos had scored 41, 31, 42 and 35 points in their previous four games, setting up another epic matchup between Manning and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
This one, though, belonged entirely to the Patriots, who flustered Manning and ran away with a 43-21 victory. Manning threw for 438 yards, most of which were in garbage time. From a point in that game, maybe when Rob Ninkovich intercepted Manning in the second quarter, the two franchises and the two legendary quarterbacks drifted in different directions.
