KANSAS CITY -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw an interception from the 1-yard line in the second quarter of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, marking only the third time an interception has been thrown from the 1 in the playoffs since 2001.
The pass was intercepted by the Chiefs' Reggie Ragland who took a knee in the end zone for the touchback.
Prior to Brady's miscue, in which he was looking for tight end Rob Gronkowski, the last time it happened was when Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson threw an interception against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
