Tom Brady Sr. can appreciate some good, heated competition, but he thinks it’s best to wait and let one’s performance do the talking.

“Sometimes it’s better to shut your mouth, because it’s not in anybody’s best interest to give any of the Patriots bulletin-board material,” Brady Sr. said in an interview Wednesday night on WEEI, after being asked about Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman’s recent comments about his 41-year-old son.
In a Bleacher Report profile earlier this week, Robey-Coleman said that “age has definitely taken a toll” on Tom Brady.
