Tom Brady had a pretty nice night in the Patriots’ 27-6 win over the Texans.
But after the game he only wanted to talk about two things: the Patriots’ stout defensive performance and the return of Rob Gronkowski.
The New England defense locked down the Texans, who managed just seven first downs. Brady was bullish on the bounce the defense gave to an offense that he claimed did just “enough” to win.
“Our defense the last 4-5 weeks has been incredible,” Brady said. “It’s good when they’re on the field.”
Brady, who threw for 226 yards and two scores (no INTs) was especially happy for the defense picking up the Patriots when they needed the unit most, such as after Keshawn Martin muffed a punt in the third quarter and gave the Texans possession at the New England 21-yard line.
