Tom Brady on James White: 'It's been pretty unbelievable what he's accomplished'

For a while, some panic set in when the Patriots lost running back Dion Lewis to a season-ending knee injury.

Luckily, second-year back James White has stepped in and played well enough to help fill that void. On Sunday, White caught seven passes for 71 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown on a screen pass.

Quarterback Tom Brady, speaking during his weekly appearance on WEEI this morning, said how much he has appreciated White's contributions.

"The role that he's filled, it's been pretty unbelievable what he's accomplished," Brady said. "He's in there more and more because when you prove that you're dependable and consistent and you're always doing the right thing and you're blocking and running and catching and you're doing the extra effort-type plays and you do it in practice, I just think everyone gains the confidence of that player.
