A new movie starring Will Smith called "Concussion" tackles the topic of head injuries in the NFL and how forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu pinpointed the long-term dangers they bring to players in the league. According to previews, the movie also touches on what's deemed as a conspiracy by the NFL to cover up Dr. Omalu's findings.
In this morning's weekly appearance on the Dennis & Callahan Show on WEEI, Pats quarterback Tom Brady tip-toed around the subject a little, but did say he's seen trailers for the movie and the subject matter interests him.
"Of course, I mean everyone, I think it's really a hot topic," Brady said.
