The Patriots are headed to an eighth consecutive AFC Championship Game after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 on Sunday, and Tom Brady had a rebuttal to the team’s detractors.
Speaking to CBS in a postgame interview, Brady looked ahead to the matchup with the Chiefs.
“I know everyone thinks we suck, and can’t win any games,” Brady said. “So, we’ll see. It’ll be fun.”
The 41-year-old quarterback was referencing pessimistic predictions about the Patriots, who were still favored in the Sunday home game at Gillette Stadium. Looking ahead to the AFC Championship, New England opened as three-point underdogs.
