Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s latest milestone has nothing to do with passing.
In the first quarter against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon, Brady rushed for five yards on 3rd-and-3 to eclipse 1,000 career rushing yards. The 41-year-old — who entered the season 32 shy of the benchmark — had been slowly chipping away at the total this season.
“I’ve kind of inched along there for a long time,” Brady said earlier in November. “It really hasn’t been a part of my game, but I’m getting close. I’ve been at it for a long time.”
Throughout the season, Brady has been tracking his progress on social media with the hashtag, “TB1K.
