Last spring, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski dramatically changed the NFL landscape when they decided to join up on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a run at another Super Bowl championship.
Fast forward almost a year later, they find themselves on the doorstep of accomplishing just that as they await the Super Bowl LV kickoff.
As for what exactly inspired them to take their talents to Florida, wireless carrier T-Mobile created a commercial for the Super Bowl featuring the duo giving a fictional backstory as to how and why it all went down.
Brady shared the commercial over his social media accounts on Saturday, which is apparently one of the only ways to view the ad since according to T-Mobile, the spot was later rejected and banned from airing during the game because of a “protected telco rights deal” the NFL has with Verizon.
