While some had thought the Patriots might still be in contention for Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, that door was closed quickly during Friday night’s coverage of round two of the NFL Draft.
Tennessee struck a deal with Arizona to move up to the 33rd overall spot to select the standout from Kentucky, while giving up the 41st and 72nd selections as well as a 2024 third round pick. The Cardinals also sent the Titans the 81st pick this year as part of the deal.
Levis’s addition certainly makes things interesting, as it adds some pressure on veteran incumbent, Ryan Tannehill, who has seemingly been seeing his seat heat up a fair amount over the last two seasons.
