FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Five things we learned from New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman's weekly interview on sports radio WEEI on Monday (with hosts Gary Tanguay, Christian Fauria and Lou Merloni):
1. Felt like another bye week. One of the benefits of playing a Thursday night game is what happens after it -- a full weekend off. "It felt like another bye [week]. It was much needed after two games in five days. It was good to have some down time and recharge your batteries," Edelman said. Edelman relayed that while some players can leave town, he doesn't, in part because players aren't always sure what the schedule is going to be from Bill Belichick.
