PLYMOUTH, Mass. -- When three-time New England Patriots Super Bowl champion Joe Andruzzi was undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkins Burkitt’s lymphoma after being diagnosed in 2007, he did everything in his power to keep a positive approach.
He says staying upbeat helped him through trying times, and it's something he now tries to help others with through his charitable foundation.
That was evident at Pine Hills Golf Course on Monday, when Andruzzi and his wife Jen hosted their eighth-annual tournament that raised record funds (more than $300,000) to help cancer patients and the pin at each hole included a red, white and blue flag that read "Up Beat Cancer.
