Thousands rally, send Patriots off to 3rd Super Bowl in row

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots are heading to Atlanta for the Super Bowl after a rally at Gillette Stadium in front of their home fans.

Quarterback Tom Brady and the other Patriots captains, along with coach Bill Belichick, were cheered on Sunday by a rowdy crowd of thousands before boarding buses for the airport. Then it’s off to their third straight Super Bowl, where they will play the Los Angeles Rams.

Fans got to stand on the field at Gillette Stadium Sunday.

Fans chanted “Beat LA!” and waved signs proclaiming Brady the GOAT — Greatest of All Time.
