A rising member of the New England Patriots’ coaching staff will be returning to the collegiate ranks.
Syracuse University is set to hire assistant Ross Rouglas as the program’s next wide receivers coach, according to a report Saturday from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Douglas, 29, has spent the past three seasons in Foxborough, beginning as a defensive quality control coach under the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship. He was promoted to assistant wide receivers coach in 2022 and joined the Patriots contingent in Nevada as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the West roster during the East-West Shrine Bowl last January.
