The Patriots are bringing back a familiar face to both New England and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Malcolm Butler will be the “Keeper of the Light” when the Patriots host their home opener at Gillette Stadium in their Week 2 matchup against the Seahawks. Butler will ring the bell that sits atop the stadium’s new lighthouse — a tradition that began last year with Tom Brady being the first to ring it.
The former NFL cornerback put his name on the map when he intercepted then-Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at the goal line on what would have been the game-winning touchdown to help the Patriots clinch Super Bowl XLIX.
