Super Bowl champion Tyler Sash dies at 27

Tyler Sash, a former Iowa and New York Giants safety, has died, the Iowa state medical examiner's office confirmed to Variety. He was 27.

Sash was found unresponsive in his home on Tuesday, according to ESPN. The cause of death is under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.

An official said an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Sash started playing for the New York Giants from in 2011, they year the team won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. He left the Giants in 2013.
