The New England Patriots are a fraction of the dynasty that once ruled the NFL, but they struck gold in the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting former UNC quarterback Drake Maye third overall.
Maye started 2024 backing up journeyman Jacoby Brissett, but after weeks of inefficient play, New England turned to its star rookie. Though the Patriots finished their season 4-13, in the AFC East cellar for the second-straight year, Maye showcased flashes of brilliance.
Through 10 starts in 13 appearances, Maye threw for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns and tossed just 10 interceptions.
