The mere idea of the Philadelphia Eagles sending star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots has Eagles fans losing their minds.
Granted, the Patriots are in desperate need of a difference-maker at the receiver position, and reuniting Brown with his former coach, Mike Vrabel, would solve a lot of offensive problems for the team.
But the Eagles just knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. Why would they trade away one of their best players when eyeing a chance to repeat as champions?
The noise got kicked into high gear after NBC Sports' Matthew Berry posted in his NFL Scouting Combine notes that he was told by a person who heard that the Patriots called the Eagles asking if Brown was available.
