With Bill Belichick no longer head coach of the Patriots, one of his sons might be planning a New England departure.
Steve Belichick, who called plays for the Patriots’ defense over the past four seasons, is reportedly interviewing for a defensive coaching role at the University of Washington.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Belichick and fellow 2023 Patriots assistant coach Vinnie Sunseri are both in consideration for roles with the Huskies.
Washington recently hired ex-Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch to take over for Kalen DeBoer (who, after leading the program to a national championship game appearance in 2024, took the opening at Alabama after Nick Saban’s retirement).
