FOXBOROUGH — As the pads went on Monday for the first time during training camp, Raekwon McMillan continued to generate praise from around the New England Patriots as he took the next steps in his comeback from injury.
During the early days of training camp, McMillan has been paired with fellow linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley at the center of the Patriots defense. So far, linebackers coach Steve Belichick has liked what he’s seen, lumping in McMillan with Bentley as one of the team’s defensive leaders.
“Those two guys are really smart,” Belichick said. “They can get everybody lined up.
