Stephen Gostkowski says he’s not ready to retire: Former Patriots kicker trying to work his way back amid coronavirus

At age 36, having been cut by the New England Patriots following a season where he sustained a season-ending hip injury, there was serious concern whether Gostkowski’s career had come to a quiet end. But talking to NBC Sports Boston’s Tom E. Curran this week, Gostkowski says he’s working on a comeback for the 2020 season.

“I’m not ready to just hang it up. I’m gonna try to play," Gostkowski said.

Gostkowski, the Patriots’ all-time scoring leader and the fifth-most accurate kicker in NFL history, said that he’s progressing well in his comeback from injury and is gearing up for another season.
