Special teams captain Matthew Slater gave a positive review for those taking part in the Patriots voluntary off season program, saying players have “come in here with a sense of urgency, a sense of humility, and understanding we all have to work.”
As for stars Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, team captains who have been no-shows thus far, Slater, who was on hand at Gillette Stadium today, did not want to speak for the duo.
“Those are two men that are more than capable of speaking for themselves. I certainly don’t want to be out of line attempting to speak for them,” said Slater.
