FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots starting linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley, who has totaled more than 100 tackles in each of the last three seasons, tore his left pectoral muscle in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks and is expected to miss an extended period of time that could include the rest of the season, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The injury occurred in the first quarter on a running play when the 6-foot-2, 250-pound Bentley was engaged with 6-foot-4, 335-pound right guard Anthony Bradford and wrestled him to the ground with his left arm.
