The Patriots purge has continued.
The Giants will sign left tackle Nate Solder today, according to two sources. Solder’s four-year, $62 million contract is an historic figure, as his $15.5 million in average annual value is $2 million more than any lineman in the NFL.
Solder joined cornerback Malcolm Butler (Titans), running back Dion Lewis (Titans) and slot receiver Danny Amendola (Dolphins) as Pats who have agreed with other teams in the past 24 hours. The deals will be official after free agency officially begins today at 4 p.m.
Without Solder, the Patriots have a massive void at left tackle, where he started for the majority of the past seven seasons.
