FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots placed starting right tackle Sebastian Vollmer on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, which theoretically means he could return later in the 2016 season, but it is more likely that Vollmer will miss the entire season, a source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Including the playoffs, the 6-foot-8, 320-pound Vollmer has played in 98 games (90 starts) since joining the Patriots as a 2009 second-round draft choice. He has been sidelined by a nagging hip injury.
