Cornerback Malcolm Butler reported to Gillette Stadium on Monday for the Patriots' voluntary offseason workout program, according to a source.
Butler missed the first two weeks of the program to tend to personal and business matters, and he worked out on his own at the time. The absence was not a holdout due to the voluntary nature of the program. Butler took a family vacation to Disneyland for his son's birthday two weeks ago and had some sponsorship obligations with Visa last week during the draft.
Butler is back in town for the remainder of the nine-week program, and he is under contract for $3.
