Shifting of NFL power balance

The opening of training camps is just days away, so we are happy to offer a little kickoff exercise in the form of preseason NFL power rankings.

Many things have changed through free agency and the draft, so here’s how we rate the teams heading into camp:

1. Seahawks: One of the weaknesses of last year’s team was red-zone efficiency, as the Seahawks ranked in the lower third of the league. In the offseason they found an instant remedy, trading for tight end Jimmy Graham, one of the best red-zone threats in the game.

Maybe next time when they’re at the 1-yard line with a chance to win the Super Bowl they’ll throw it to Graham instead of running a play the other team sees coming from a mile away.
