Several NFL teams are constantly seeking consistent kickers, New England Patriots aren't one of them

After Josh Scobee blew two field goals and in turn blew the game Thursday night against the Ravens, and after Saints kicker Zach Hocker set up Drew Brees' overtime heroics by missing a potential game-winning field goal in regulation, it seems kicking has become an issue for many NFL teams.

The New England Patriots aren't one of them.

Stephen Gostkowski is a ho-hum 7-for-7 on field goals and 14-for-14 on extra points, extending his league record of consecutive successful PATs to 425.

On Tuesday's conference call, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was asked by CSNNE's Tom E Curran about the decisions that go into playcalling based on the reliability of the kicker and the conditions in which the game is being played.
